Great content. But this should’ve been 2 30 min episodes.

Thanks! But the timing seems weird to complain about. I don’t know many podcasts I listen to that are under an hour. Most are much longer. What podcasts do you recommend in that 30 min range?

Ep. 1: A little bit awkward, but I’m sure you guys will get more comfortable BSing on air with practice. Good content, I love the let’s piss everyone off topic choices.
My questions for transgendered troops for you:
    1. Which PFT do they qual for?
    2. Which MCRD RTBn do they attend?
    3. What do we do if they become POW and can’t continue medication therapy?

    Fuck Nazis.
Don’t be too hard on people that Monday morning quarterback social incidents like that and have had the time to think of all the groups they hate and wish didn’t exist.

The answers to questions 1 and 2 are: whatever gender they are that corresponds.

#3: Is that a serious question or a troll? Like I’m dying laughing over here that you would ask this but totally don’t know if you’re being serious.

      And yes, fuck Nazis.

      Thanks so much for listening.

#3 Is the totally outlandish, going to happen in less than 0.000001% of cases question that was “seriously” asked of me, and I laughed too, I figured you could use the laugh too. FYI< My response was that "If that were to happen…" that is the sacrifice that person must be willing to make. Which didn't connect with the requestor, so I guess it's a serious question in how do you answer ridiculous questions like that, that are supposed to be serious?

I guess to answer question #3 then… in the off chance a trans person was caught as a POW and couldn’t take their meds… now keep in mind, I’m not a scientist or a doctor, but I’m pretty sure if you’re transitioning from man to woman and you’ve been taken medication for that, after you suddenly stop, your new boobs don’t just disappear. So hell, I don’t even know. I’m pretty sure it would take some serious time for things to go in reverse. So now that I’m sitting here trying to figure out this question, now I really want to look in to it myself just out of sheer curiosity.

as ridiculous as it sounds, this is exactly the sort of question the bureaucrats will need to codify.

Good first run, fellas. It’s refreshing to here a rational discussion that is not afraid to call BS on current affairs and within the military.

It definitely helps pass the time on watch.

This was hilarious. I listened to it at work and was laughing out loud. General Amos as “Green Weenie Actual”? Fucking brilliant. I love how you called out the “dysfunctional veteran” type of mentality out there. I also thought the length was perfect–every Serial podcast I listen to is the same duration.
You guys are awesome. Keep up the good work. I can’t wait until the next one.

Solid first ep and look forward to more.

I’m curious what your thoughts are about women in infantry in terms of resource management. I’m ambivalent about most aspects (POG who worked with/for women without issue), but my issue overall is that there is a much higher rate of attrition for women without a significant benefit to offset the lost investment in training and in additional injury treatment.

Add to that problem the fact that women, at least in the Marine Corps, are a relatively rare resource to begin with, and you’re just spending extra money to use a rare resource in a way that isn’t effective to no benefit.

Do you think this is an inaccurate depiction, that it is unfair to characterize the issue in terms of cost/benefit of resources in maintaining a fighting force, or is there another approach that you think resolves this (e.g. that there are other benefits of having women in the infantry that are undervalued and should be given greater weight in consideration)?

I think we’ll more than likely talk about women in the infantry in the next episode.

Great podcast, laughed my ass off at “Green Weenie Actual.” I’m going to share this with pretty much everyone I know.

I have seen a Jewish chaplain! 82nd Airborne division, we were on a jump. He came around while we were getting ready for a jump and there he was, this older guy asking people if they were ok if we needed anything etc. The giver away? The camouflage yamika.
